Of all the countries in
Africa, none can match the sheer range of scenery and landscapes
found in Kenya. There is a wide variety and concentration of wild
animals and birds. This is the magic of Kenya. As evident as it has
always been.
With the gifts
of nature bestowed in such profusion, Kenya remains the first choice
country for visitors to Africa. There is so much to see and do, the
difficulty lies in deciding what to leave out of a Kenyan safari.
The annual
wildebeest migration to the Massai Mara is the world's greatest
wildlife spectacle, something not to be missed if you're visiting
Kenya between August and October.
There are a
thousand species of birds to spot, a million plus flamingos to
count, 59 plus National Parks and Reserves to explore, trails to
hike, mountains to climb, golf holes to eagle, trout to catch and
people to meet. And after all this activity in the bush, what a
contrast to let go and relax on a white sand, palm-fringed beach of
the waters of Indian Ocean.
All this exciting variety
can be summarized in the following verse extracted from a Kenya
Tourist Board brochure.
"Get
off the beaten track on a walking safari, a camel safari, or
on horseback".
Above
all, Kenya is a feast for the eyes.
You
have to see it to believe it.
When
you see Kenya, you see Africa!
ACCOMMODATION
One of the
delights of a Kenyan safari is the range and variety of places
to stay. Luxury tented camps, five-star beach hotels, or tree
top hotel for spectacular and intimate view of animals are many
and the choices available.

CONSERVATION
In recent
years the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has virtually eliminated
poaching and seen dramatic increases in the numbers of several
threatened species such as the elephant and rhinoceros. The
Parks and Reserves have been restored and rehabilitated to
provide safe, secure havens for animals and visitors.
